Indecent Exposures

from Seaside is Painless by Lardpony

about

Robbie said that the guitar solo sounded like The Mavericks.

lyrics

I fell in love with the girl from the camera store
but when my camera broke I had no reason to go there any more
though I walked past the window every day, it wasn't the same because I never got to hear her say
"come back for your pictures at four"

I just want to be captured on film with her
and at the blink of the shutter
we'll make indecent exposures

so in a flash, my dreams had been over-exposed
by the time I'd saved some money up, her business had been foreclosed
I stared through the window at the hand-written sign, it was faded by sunlight but I could read it fine
it had not been there long, I suppose

I'll admit I lost my focus, but not for very long
a poster nearby informed me that she had an exhibition on
though her beautiful pictures covered the wall, that wasn't what captured my attention at all...
she was smiling at me through the throng
